ZIMMI started as a small idea in a basement. One eager designer (still is), a 3D printer, and a curiosity for making things differently.

What started as experimenting with shapes, materials, and light slowly became a growing collection of lamps and objects. There was no big plan at the beginning, just a love for design and the excitement of turning something on a screen into something real.

Each piece goes through a lot of testing. Some work straight away, others change again and again, and some start over completely. That process is part of ZIMMI, and often leads to the best ideas.

The designs come from things around us, nature, movement, textures, and everyday forms, then take on a new character through the way they are shaped and lit.

The idea was never to make lighting that simply does a job. I like to think of each piece as a small sculpture, something with its own presence in a space, whether the light is on or off.

ZIMMI is still small, still experimenting, and still growing.
